| Heritage embraces every aspect of the past which has contributed in a significant manner to the way we as a nation live today and includes geography, history, military and naval campaigns, political movements, literature, architecture, fanning and industrial development. Individual talks, usually illustrated, are given both by group members and outside speakers but a particular feature is the study in depth of a topic by a group of between 4 to 8 people. Coach outings to places of interest and heritage walks are run throughout the year. | ||

| A group designed to encourage members to talk about and show pictures of countries that they have visited as part of their work or leisure travel. Members are encouraged to display maps ( or have slides made by the leader), to say something about the background history, the geography and of course, the people. The group takes a keen interest in all that is happening in the world outside the UK but travel talks about the diverse nature of our own country are also encouraged. From time to time, outside speakers will give us the benefit of their knowledge and experience. | ||
