| The purpose of the Bridge Group is to teach and/or improve the game to a reasonable standard. Provided you can play Whist, or have played Bridge at some time in the past, this group can provide a learning experience in a friendly manner. The intention is that members can learn by their mistakes before entering into the outside world of social or competitive Bridge. This is not a social Bridge Group. | ||

| We meet generally on The chess Group is not for experts but for those who may wish to improve their play or even to renew knowledge of the game since the days of their youth. We can, at this time, still accommodate three more players, although it is necessary to limit our numbers to 16, whereby possibly a maximum of eight players may attend a host's (or hostess's) home on a meeting date. | There are many different rules, depending on country of origin, and some attempt was made to standardise them by the formation of a British Mah Jong Association. I was taught an Australian version, which is very popular and is played by members of this group. Inevitably there are some differences in play and scoring, which make the game all the more interesting. We welcome new members - both beginners and experienced players. | ||
